Hiding somewhere amongst the vineyards, gumtrees and wildlife of the Adelaide Hills is the ultimate escape. An escape from social media, technology, and your never ending newsfeeds. An escape from the stresses of work, or the kids. An escape to rediscover yourself, or the person you love most in the world.

Let us tell you a little bit about CABN

While we can’t tell you EXACTLY where it is — discovering its secret location is all part of the experience — we can tell you that it’s sitting smack bang in the middle of nowhere, with some of the most naturally beautiful views going around.

Once you arrive at the property, CABN literally pops up out of nowhere — even though you know it’s coming, it almost feels like a surprise to find civilisation in the middle of nature. There’s something so satisfying about finding yourself completely off-grid in a self-contained, sustainable tiny house to enjoy your natural surrounds and special company.

CABN provides all of the fun parts of camping, like being immersed in the environment around you and bringing you back to basics. But, unlike traditional camping, you still have all of the normal luxuries of a holiday — big comfy bed, shower, toilet, heating and cooling, BBQ and more. You can even pre-order wine and platters to take out all of the hassle of lugging food along with you!

While we were lucky enough to visit one of the Adelaide Hills location, there are actually 3 CABN’s in total — two in the Adelaide Hills and one in NSW, with plans for many more in the future. All of the designs are similar in their basic appearance and functionality, but they all have their own hints of personality too. For example, the NSW CABN has a bathroom entirely made out of glass, so you never miss a second of the great outdoors — even in the shower.

While you’re enjoying your stay, you can hang around the CABN, sit in bed and read with 360 views, drink wine on the deck, go for walks along the trails, or even visit some local wineries. Hint: the CABN that we visited is right next door to a fabulous winery that offers morning yoga (with wine), book club (with wine), and so much more.

A stay at CABN is under high-demand, so make sure to get in and book quickly — prices start at $190 per night. And if you’re lucky enough to already live on a large property exploding with nature, and are keen to be a host of a CABN, get in touch with the lovely team and have a chinwag about how to get involved.
