HOW TO DRESS YOUR MAN FOR THE RACES

There’s something super attractive about a man who dresses well, especially in a smashing suit at the races! And who’s to say that a guy can’t win Fashion at the Races? They CAN and they DO. This year, the winner of Fashion at the Races will spend ten days with a friend, in Hong Kong, Macau and Shanghai, plus attend the 2016 Longines Hong Kong International Races. OMG, can you imagine!

If your husband or boyfriend is coming along to Spring Carnival, there’s plenty of inspiration out there and I’m here to send you in the right direction.

Firstly, MJ Bale and ASOS are both great for stylish outfits, with a variety of sizes, prices and trends to choose from. He’s sure to find something super cool and super trendy.

I like a man who takes a few risks with patterns and textures (without overdoing it of course). Avoid putting an outfit together, which resembles a kaleidoscope of shapes and colours. Instead, try and stick with a theme or colour-family.

Blokes, you should also try and complement your partner in terms of a colour or pattern, without being too matchy-matchy.

Accessorise with ties, bow ties, pocket squares and gloves/scarves on cooler race days. The carefully chosen little touches always add the WOW factor to an outfit. And it’s the WOW factor that wins Fashion at the Races!

Also, always stick to the dress code. Jeans, T-shirts and sneakers are a NO NO. A hat isn’t always essential, but it really does complete the whole outfit with a classy cherry on top.
