Self isolation is sending our team a little stir crazy — to the point where in this morning’s Zoom meeting, we started talking about how an unnamed team member (starts with H ends with Ayley) has been playing a game of “guess what the neighbours are having for dinner”. How do you play? Simply wander down your street (at a safe distance from anyone else, of course) around dinner time, and sniff out what they’ve got on the menu.

It’s gotten to the point where we’re all determined to have the most delicious smelling house each night. Us, competitive? Naaah. Lucky for me, I’ve found a cheat system, and it involves local SA business, Paesano Bakery, and their par-baked bread. Literally, you just pop it in the oven and suddenly it smells like you’ve been baking all day long. DELICIOUS.

Like so many beloved SA businesses, Sab Spinello — the man behind the dough — has had to flip his business upside down and find new ways to make sure that we don’t go hungry… which is why you can now order online and have freshly baked bread delivered right to your door. Is there anything more comforting than carbs?

So what exactly can you choose from? Ciabatta, focaccia, buns, rolls, raisin toast, a turkish slab, and more — you can even buy bakers flour so if you get reaaalllyyy bored in self iso you can ACTUALLY make your own bread (instead of just faking it till you make it, like me!)

Sab is so incredibly passionate about what he does and is supported in return by an incredibly loyal following. They’ve been baking delicious bread for over 19 years, distributing to all your fave brekky haunts and date-night restaurants. They even supply loaves to the Great Southern Rail — and you know how obsessed we are with their food!

Seriously, I love bread. It makes my soul happy, and Paesano’s have some of the fluffiest loaves in the biz. Jump online, place your order, and get it delivered right to your home for only $4.95. AND as an added bonus, if you spend over $50 and use code ‘FREE’, you get 10% off your total order. Support local guys, and make sure you win the best smelling house on the street.
