I never thought I’d do this, but hey, as the kids say, “YOLO”! Today I went nude in public, and man, it felt great!
Okay, I guess it’s time to mention I was still wearing clothes! The “nude” I’m referring to is the makeup I was wearing. Meet my new friend, Nudestix.
Every now and then you find a makeup gem that’s better than your normal fave brands. And I think I‘ve just fallen head over heels. Nudestix is the ‘no-makeup’ makeup brand. Because, let’s be honest, we’re all after that fresh and makeup-free look, right?
Let me get on my soap box for a second and tell you just how cool these products are:
EYEBROW STYLUS PENCIL AND GEL
Wow! I have VERY poor eyebrow-game thanks to years of over-plucking, so for me, this pencil and gel magically give me eyebrows! The angle of the pencil is so sharp (yet soft in texture) that you can feather your brows on, stroke by stroke, and they look thick and on point. The gel is my new fave product ever! After you’ve coloured in your brows with the pencil, the gel goes over the top and creates the perfect texture and defines individual hairs. It also holds them in place so they don’t run away.
LIP + CHEEK PENCIL PENCIL
Because I have dry skin I find that powder blushes make me look old. And ain’t nobody got time for that! I love a creamy based cheek cream and this one not only fits the bill for cheeks but also doubles up as a lip crayon. It’s ‘all-in-one’ and I love that. Because I’m lazy.
And the final rose goes to…
MAGNETIC EYE COLOUR
I’ve never found a long-lasting eyeshadow, until now. A lot of brands say they are long-lasting, but for some reason they never seem to stick to my lid. This one, however, is a super long-wearing eye shadow pencil that gives a sheer highlight look. The colour “Guilt” is perfect for daytime wear and it primes lids for hours. It comes in other great shades too. The “Immortal” is a fabulous brown. You can go from day to night just by blending Immortal on top of Guilt.
