On any given day, our DMs are exploding with questions asking for recommendations on where to eat, sleep, drink, stay and play. And boy, do we have a million and one answers, because SA has so much to offer!
But there are a few spots we just keep coming back to. Here are a few of our favourite things, quickfire style, for YOU to enjoy.
Kelly from Juggle House knows all the best SA experiences back to front — not to mention she’s bundles of fun and the ultimate tour guide! With countless tours on offer, it can be hard to choose. We LOVED the Dark Sky Gold Stars Sunset Dinner, which includes a guided tour of Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Archaeological Cultural Site and phenomenal star gazing; and the Jurlique Farm Tour and Hills Gourmet Picnic, which leads you through the biodynamic farm that’s home to one of the world’s most recognised skincare brands, and ends with wine and a long lunch.

Conveniently located directly behind our office in Unley, we love Pickle for so many reasons — and not just because they keep us caffeinated! This is an incredibly reliable spot for an A-grade brekky or lunch, with gluten-free and vegan options aplenty. And you’ll get a pep in your step when you walk in and see the smiling faces of owners Luke and Carli, and their fabulous team. Do yourself a favour and try their Pickle in the Middle Sandwich. It’s truly next level!
A newbie to the Adelaide city staycay scene, this hotel brings all the good vibes. It’s located in the Flinders East precinct and guests can choose between Premier Suites, Urban Retreat Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Guest Rooms, each complete with amenities. Some even feature a tub by the window! With Storehouse Flinders East restaurant downstairs for delicious dining, a stylish heated pool and smack-bang in an ideal location, what more could you want?
Doughy, carby, flavour-packed goodness. That’s DoughBalls in a nutshell! We’ve been big fans since they swung open the doors of their first restaurant in Glenelg, and it’s been fabulous to see them expand with a restaurant in Mawson Lakes and pop-up at Paxton Winery. If you love pizza, you’ll love DoughBalls! Best enjoyed with a signature DoughBalls dessert to top it all off.
We love this iconic bar and restaurant in the CBD for a lot of different reasons, but their latest offering has us buzzing. Introducing Lady Burra Seltzers, made in their on-site microbrewery. They’ve absolutely nailed these babies, which come in passionfruit, mango, lemon and lime, and native peach and lemon myrtle. Uber-refreshing and with the perfect amount of fizz, we’re calling this the drink of summer!
We’re SO jealous that we didn’t think of this biz idea first (even though we have no hairdressing or bartending experience, lols)! Blow Out Style & Bar on Unley Road is Adelaide’s first hairstyling salon and bar, combined into one glorious location. Get your hair washed, blow dried and styled, and your makeup professionally applied, while sipping on a cocktail and a bite to eat. Great for hen’s parties, wedding prep or just when your hair is needing some love. Sign up to their new subscription service and get regular blow outs with a discount!
ESCA at Nest & Nature, Inman Valley
This is the ultimate off-grid escape and is so good that this recommendation flew around our team like lightning! Take in panoramic views of the Inman Valley, plunge into the cosy outdoor bath, snuggle by the indoor or outdoor fire, and decompress in total privacy. Every single detail has been carefully considered for your ultimate enjoyment, and by the end of the stay you’ll feel recharged, restored and a million miles away…
Hot tip: head to Fine Food Cucina with an empty belly, because you’ll want to sample everything in sight! This classic Italian eatery is tucked away in the backstreets of the northeastern suburbs, and offers incredible meals and paninis to eat in or take away. And if you’re just racing through, pick up a freshly made lasagna to take home for dinner. Lauren also swears by their porchetta, which she pre-orders for family functions. Yum!

Big fans of all things wine, Wangolina has always been one of our faves. Her latest offering comes just in time for Christmas — we can’t wait to get our hands on a bottle of their brand new Prosecco. Chin-chin!
