The first thing I did when I arrived in Robe (before even unpacking the fam-bam’s suitcases) was ask a local, “where’s the BEST brekky in Robe”? And without hesitation, the lovely lady said “The Adventurous Spoon.”
So, you can only imagine what we did next…

Inside a charming stone cottage on the corner of Victoria Street, you’ll find a fully-licensed espresso bar, eatery, functions and wine garden — and one hell of a cafe!
Open seven days a week (8am – 5pm) you can come for brekky, lunch or cheeky knock-off drinks. They even have breakfast cocktails on the menu — AMEN! Tip: try the Breakfast Daiquiri!
After drooling all over the entire table menu (sorry guys), my eyes went straight to the “SPECIALS” board! Poached eggs, sauteed mushrooms, smashed avo, beetroot puree, feta and a smear of roasted pumpkin and sun-dried tomatoes… AMAZE-BALLS!
While we were neck-deep in our brekky, the smell of delicious homemade soup and Haloumi burgers kept wafting past. Seriously, their menu is ALL shades of yummy.
The kid’s menu is also next-level! When you order chicken nuggets, they wouldn’t dream of serving you processed frozen nuggets. Instead, steaming, juicy HOMEMADE nuggets with the most deliciously seasoned chips arrive at your table!
Now, enough about the food…the actual venue is also rad! With indoor and outdoor undercover dining (decked out with heaters), you’re spoilt for choice. They’re also super kid-friendly, with little picnic tables and chairs set up for little ones, with colouring-in activities. They even have kid-safe cutlery and crockery!
And you absolutely can’t leave without having a hot cuppa coffee, tea or chai!
