When was the last time you had a proper bra fitting? Mine was 20 years and two babies ago. That was, until I stepped inside Alexandra Lingerie in Adelaide Arcade and I’m not titting you, my world changed!

Milkers, mailbags, cat flaps, noogies, mosquito bites, puppies, jugs, airbags, cream pies, melons, coconuts, boozies, boobs… whatever nickname you’ve given your honkers, there’s one thing for certain — we’ve all got them, or had them.

But sadly, most of us don’t look after them like we should. Alexandra calls herself the French Big Boobs Expert and prides herself on women leaving her shop fitted with the right-sized bra for their breast shape.

“Two women can both be 10Ds but have completely differently shaped breasts — I’m here to make sure they each get the right bra,” she says.

According to several studies, 80 percent of women are walking around Adelaide wearing the wrong size bra. More disturbingly, ill-fitting bras can cause all sorts of health problems.

“Headaches, back aches, shoulder pain, and more seriously, underwires that dig in on the breast tissue, can lead to more serious illnesses.”

If your breasts look like they’ve seen better days, Alexandra can give them a makeover.

“The right-sized bra can make your waist look smaller, stop your straps from falling down your arm, and give you the lift and confidence you need.”

Her love for hooters is real. “I’ve loved lingerie since I was 15, but having big boobs and a small waist, the only bras that would fit were for grannies. I wanted to create my own lingerie store and quickly found out that Aussie girls have much bigger boobs than us French girls. So, my partner and I moved to Adelaide and set up shop here in Adelaide Arcade.”

I walked into her shop as a size 12C and came out a 6E. WTF?! I had no idea I was wearing the wrong size bra — chances are, you probably are, too.

“I know there are so many Adeladies who need to be fitted by me, they just need to know I’m here.” I skipped out of Alexandra Lingerie with my 6E boozies and will never look back. You should, too.
