Then he said, “Let there be light” and two Adeladies embarked on their event styling dreams to create these outrageously cool, bespoke neon lights.
Alessandra Viola and Arielle Lopresti are the women behind The Style Light Co. The talented duo creates custom-made neon shapes and words that light up any room or wedding. Their “All You Need Is Love” sign is for hire and definitely an Adelady favourite!
These two bright sparks are changing the traditional concept of signage, by designing pieces that are bright, fun, modern and completely and utterly funky. It started off as a side project and has developed into a full-blown career! We just LOVE seeing Adelaide women kick some serious neon arse!
So today, they are our Inspirational Adeladies. Here are their fave places in Adelaide:

FAVE PLACE TO HAVE BREKKY
Alessandra: All aboard! Nothing beats the cold drip brew served up at The Loose Caboose! A drop of that caffeine dream goodness will have you hanging off the rails in no time. And there’s something about their gorgeous pastel-coloured crockery that gets me every time. And if you believe in service with a smile — you’ll get it at this love train!
Arielle: The quintessential hipster feel at Mister Sunshine’s beams through the walls and makes my gluten-free vegan mushroom salsa taste like a million bucks! The bearded baristas pour a perfect froth and the industrial vintage vibe makes it perfect for that hashtag cool Sunday brunch.
FAVE WEDDING VENUE
Alessandra: Bird in Hand winery is located in the heart of the Adelaide Hills and has to be one of the most picturesque venues for the whimsical bride. But let’s be honest about these things, that BIH Sparkling Pinot Noir is a real treat!
For a chic city vibe, the Mortlock Library is also a delightful venue. Imagine being surrounded by a plethora of romance novels! That’s amore!

Arielle: The lush, green setting of Adelaide’s Botanic Gardens is the most precious backdrop to say, “I do”. Getting hitched under a century-old maple fig tree in the heart of the city, sounds so dreamy!
FAVE CHEAP MEAL
Alessandra: When I’m not teaching, I’m meeting clients to talk neon and all things bright in the CBD. I often meet my possè at Abbots and Kinney as I have a big love for industrial design, swiss decaffeinated lattes and almond meal croissants!

For a cheap [but clean] quick-fix food thrill, I recommend Betal Leaf, located west of #rads. From the perfect phò to a fresh noodle salad, this joint is an east Asian culinary delight at our doorstep!
Arielle: For a cheap eat, I am obsessed with the vegan cream cheese and pickle spread at The Beigelry in Topham Mall. That cured lox salmon delight has a ‘hole’ lot of flavour in every bite. Another favourite cheap eat is anything on Field Street, just off Gouger. Thang Thang is great for a tasty phò during the winter chill and Yen Linh rolls out the freshest Vietnamese Bàhn Mî.

FAVE BAR
Alessandra: Gresham Street laneway is the newest kid on the west end, bringing a bit of ‘Paree’ to the city realm. I am obsessed with La Buvette — a French aperitif bar and wind-down drinkery.

Arielle: The Bibliotecha Bar and Book Exchange, next door, is also a gorgeous spot to meet friends. Here, you can sip on a homemade ginger lemonade with a pinch of gin and immerse yourself in a good book!
And row row row your boat down the road to Gondola Gondola. The hippest cool place to share a mild sake with friends for Fri-yay drinks, before exploring Peel Street’s late-night offerings!
