This morning I walked into our office in Unley dripping wet from the rain, heard a loud bang as the power went out, and turned right around to leave again.

Loz and I headed to King William Rd with two objectives: find somewhere with a working light bulb, and find somewhere cosy with COFFEE. There’s just something about this weather that demands atmosphere and luckily, Pollen 185 came up with the goods.

Located towards the southern end of King William Rd and slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the shopaholics, lives this delightful cafe/restaurant/bar that boasts an incredible vegetarian and vegan menu. The walls are covered in hand painted flowers, the lighting is designed to make you feel warm, the music sets the perfect ambiance and best of all, the coffee is hot and delicious.

If you’re not a caffeine addict (like us) then perhaps you’d prefer a fragrant cup of tea or a fresh juice? Or if you’re a Bloody Mary expert (also like us) then you’ve got the option to sit back and enjoy one of those as well.

The food itself is fresh, seasonal, and friendly to most dietary requirements. If you’re a meatosaurus then don’t be alarmed by the vegan/vegetarian label, as the dishes are so hearty and delicious that you’ll leave feeling fully satisfied regardless.

So if you find yourself in need of a safe-haven or if you just feel like having a delicious catch up with friends then make sure to give Pollen 185 a visit xx
