There’s nothing nicer than a clean car… unless you want your car cleaned to a tee while chilling out in one of Adelaide’s coolest new cafes at the same time!

We popped into The Wash Glenelg the other day and discovered a hidden gem… a rad new cafe attached to the carwash, which is perched on the Bayside Village Shopping Centre rooftop. Inside, you’ll find a chilled Miami vibe with beautiful coffee, delicious raw treats and delightfully healthy food. And it’s not just for those wanting to polish up their vehicle.

Since refurbishing a couple of months ago, local owners, Ash and Paul have welcomed peeps from the bayside area and beyond, all keen to check out their cool new pad. With two kids of their own, this uber-friendly couple have modelled The Wash on exactly what they’d want. Clearly doing it for the love of it, their relaxed vibe comes across in what they describe as ‘more of a social affair’.

Any day of the week and particularly on weekends, they welcome friends, families, and four legged buds to enjoy this social hot spot. With the Gym Glenelg just next door, it’s the perfect place to grab a great caffeine hit from local coffee crew, Patio, or refuel with a cold pressed juice, or refreshing smoothie and raw treat after breaking a sweat.

After something a little more substantial? You won’t be disappointed with any of the healthy items on the menu. A vegan herself, Ash has ensured there’s plenty of yummy vegan options and is up early every day making fresh, healthy food that looks incredible and tastes even better.

There’s brekky and lunch options galore, including the likes of freshly made wraps, gorgeous granola, and delicious salads. Plus, Ash will be welcoming the warmer weather with the launch of a seasonal menu filled with healthy smoothie and buddah bowls shortly.

This hub-bub of activity is both uplifting and chilled out, set against a backdrop of chilled house beats. Ash and Paul have nailed the Miami vibe, with their modern take on a 50s diner. It’s a tasteful mixture of textured wooden benches, comfy bench seats, textured pots and plenty of greenery. The large windows let the natural light flow in and make it one of the prettiest rooftops to have a coffee in Ads. Even better, they’ll open from 6.30am once daylight savings starts, so it’s the perfect place to kick off your day.

Apart from being a seriously sweet place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, The Wash is equipped with all the newest car washing facilities which mean the best (and quickest) way to keep your wheels looking sharp. And with the amount of time we all spend in our cars these days, why would you want it feeling anything less? With The Wash Unley also on their portfolio, Ash and Paul are pumped about bringing the same great vibe and state of the art facilities to the eastern suburbs in mid-2019.

Roll up, kick back and enjoy!
