The Adelaide Hills is abundant in cellar doors filled with fine wines, cosy interiors and delicious food. Barristers Block is one of them.
In Woodside, Barristers Block is the perfect cellar door for those who travel in large groups, are wanting a quaint lunch or even have kids in tow. The cellar door is surrounded by large gardens with a huge grassed area and even an area with farm animals – great for those with little ones.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating available with long tables dotted underneath a pergola area, as well as outdoor heaters – perfect for winter. When we visited it was school holidays so there were plenty of kids running around on the grass while mums sipped on their wines under the pergola!
The tasting list at Barristers Block is short and sweet, and let’s be honest there’s no time to mess around when it comes to good wine. You’ll find a selection of both reds and whites, as well as two beautiful bubblies to kick off your afternoon.
As for food — think pizzas, pot pies, tapas platters, cheese platters and even finger food for the little ones.
Barristers Block also hosts functions and weddings, and just quietly this venue would be perfect – when you see the outlook and the gardens you will know what I am talking about.
