An extra 123 rooms of wonderful have been added to the recently upgraded Flinders Street area, with Vibe Hotel opening earlier this year. A true reflection of everything that SA has to offer, this hotel is attention to detail personified.
“We wanted to do things in a very South Australian way,” explained Pasquo Cassetta, a senior architect with Loucas Zahos Architects. “You’ll know you’re in Adelaide, not Paris, when you visit this hotel.”
The epic 18-storey glass frontage is the wrapping on the present that is Vibe Hotel Adelaide. So, let’s tear it open and see what’s inside…
THE ROOMS ARE A VIBE
Choose between Premier Suites, Urban Retreat Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Guest Rooms, each complete with all the luxe amenities you can dream of. Some rooms even feature a large bath by the window, so you can take in the city views while you soak in the tub. Bliss.
THE ART’S A VIBE
There are little pieces of South Australian art everywhere at Vibe. Created by Jeremy Herbert of Iron Edge Design, the lobby’s huge 15-metre chandelier is a true centrepiece, with lighting effects changing 24 hours a day. And in each room, you’ll spot photos by local visionary Alex Frayne, so even if you’re not peeking out the windows, you know exactly where you are.
THE POOL’S A VIBE
Who needs the coast when this hotel has its own stylish, heated pool? Hello, year-round swims! Long and lovely, this pool features decadent tiling and ambient lighting, making sunset the best time for a quick dip. Suspended one level above the street, the pool zone connects the hotel and neighbouring ONE Apartments, with a pedestrian bridge providing easy access to the delightful deck, spa, sauna and communal plaza.
THE FOOD’S A VIBE
We’re happy whenever there are good eats nearby! The Storehouse Flinders East restaurant and bar, with Head Chef Kam McManamey at the helm, offers an oasis escape with great dining, drinks and entertainment available in their indoor/outdoor space. Nothing like an open-air eatery to enjoy your meal.
