If you’re a long-time follower of Adelady then firstly – THANKS!! – and secondly, you’re probably familiar with our love affair with the Haus in Hahndorf + Hahndorf Accomodation Group. You see, this whirlwind romance doesn’t just stem from the fact that our first meeting with their team included wine and oysters (though it certainly helped – oysters are an aphrodisiac after all…). It actually comes from the fact that they just keep surprising us with everything that they have to offer, from the amazing restaurant to the Skandi inspired accomodation!
You see, for Hayley the sparks started to fly when she first visited the Haus restaurant with her entire family and left with her heart (and tummy) full of love and chocolate cake.
For Lauren, she first started to feel the “L-Word” when she discovered the quaint-yet-modern accommodation that’s just 20 minutes from the city, giving her an escape from her hectic work life.
But for me, I knew that it was love at first sight when I saw the conferencing and event packages. I knooooow I’m a big old nerd but hear me out. My passion is organising and running events and the Hahndorf Accommodation Group just does it oh-so-well.
As soon as I read about the 3 different event spaces that are up for grabs I started to wonder what Adelady could start organising there first – would it be a big meeting (pant suits and brief cases optional) in the Boardroom or a conference in one of their conference rooms onsite at Haus? Or perhaps a rowdy Christmas lunch in one of the beautiful Walnut Rooms? But then again, maybe we could offer a weekly screening of Adelady in the versatile C3 Church that caters for up to 180pax with it’s big screen and auditorium-style seating, another great option for your next conference? The opportunities seem endless!
The amazing team at Hahndorf Accommodation Group then started telling us about all the other additional experiences we could organise. That’s right – who wants to attend a dull team-bonding conference stuck in a boardroom all day when you could be learning everything you need to know about your colleagues with breakaway activities throughout the day!
Some of the “Build your own Experiences” for your conference package include learning about gin at the Applewood Distillery, enjoying a Master Class with Penfolds Winery onsite at Haus, blending your own wines at The Lane, guided tours of local Breweries OR sabraging on site then learning how to make cider! Ain’t nobody got time for boring here!
With the catering options right there on site (I counted a total of 4 different types of breakfast which is an A+ in my books) you don’t need to lift a finger organising miniature sandwiches that – lets be honest – are usually a bit dry and never get eaten anyway. Instead you can sit back and graze on some pizzas or organise a working lunch to ensure you don’t have any interruption from all that brainstorming. Fancy!
And if the 20 minute trek home down the freeway at the end of a long hard day of being a boss seems a little too much to handle – book a night of accommodation at either the Manna, the Haus Studio Apartments or the Hahndorf Motor Lodge (this is an especially good idea if you do end up at the gin masterclass or blending your own wine…)
