Adelaide is full of history, with beautiful buildings and memories galore! So, nothing makes us happier than when classic venues get a facelift and are re-engergised with fresh blood!

That’s exactly what’s happened at the Crown & Sceptre on King William Street. This cosy, classic pub has had a lick of paint and an all-round upgrade — and now this funky venue is the place to be, especially during the Winter months!

Here’s why!

Not one, but two fireplaces can be found at the Crown & Sceptre! The cosy walls are covered in unique art and the floors are a mix of classic wooden floorboards and on-trend Persian rugs.

When the sun finally shows its face, you can make the most of the outdoor beer garden or the sit outside on the front pavement to watch the world go by.

If you’re a fan of live music, then you’ll love the mixed range of live performers that come and go from the venue. They also have themed nights, like Winehouse Mondays, where the food and wine is cheap and the music is jazzy.

The meals are hearty and delicious! There are options for both the carnivores and the herbivores on the menu, and the best part is that the same quality food is available whether you’re in for a counter meal or a group dinner in the dining room.

We feasted on meat skewers, barramundi, haloumi salad, mixed veg, and of course… DESSERT!

When it comes to food, a picture paints a thousand words… so here are the dishes that we sampled (there were two of us, and we did a pretty good job at demolishing just about everything – it was that good!)

So next time you’re looking for the perfect option on a night out, make sure to pay the newly renovated Crown & Sceptre a visit. There will be #noregrets.
