So many of us have been involved in planning a bridal shower or two for one of our Adeladies at some point in our lives or may have one coming up.  With this being such a common event to attend, we are often left looking for a way to make our special gorgeous girl’s event that little bit extra special and memorable. Never fear, emkho is here!!

We absolutely love making a day of a Hens party – after all, there is nothing better than getting a good amount of time for the hen to really bask in the joy of being the bride and have all her closest ladies really spoil her rotten.

Here are some stylish ideas to make for a  super special Adelaide Hens day:

Ladies who lunch ::

A great way to start off the festivities is to go all out and spoil your girl with an amazing, styled luncheon either at a beautiful venue or did you know there are a great deal of amazing caterers in Adelaide that will cater small, private events? At emkho we love styling small events and what a AMAZING way to spend the day!

Usually some sort of activity during the day is de rigueur for any hens party… we have some great suggestions suitable for different tastes that will have you squeal-ing in joy!

Mini dance lesson ::

You can either arrange to head to a dance studio OR have someone come to you. Whether you want to keep things risqué and go down the pole dancing gauntlet or channel your inner Queen Bey with Bey Dance and learn some cool moves to practice out on the d-floor later in the night, this is a great way to break down barriers and have a giggle together.

Flower crown workshop ::

For a more quiet and mindful experience, gather together to create some lush and pretty fresh flower crowns. Our favourite workshop is held by Austin Bloom in their beautiful studio space in Balhannah.

Wine tour ::

An oldie but a goodie – who doesn’t love appreciating some of Adelaide’s finest wineries… the only trouble is choosing which region, which winery… oh what a terrible problem we have here in Radelaide!! Some of our favourites include Golding Wines, Shaw and Smith, Coriole, Primo Estate and Hentley Farm (but this is by no means an exhausted list!)

Let’s bounce ::

So some of us just want to jump around and act like a kid every now and then, ok? Why not really letting go and having some big kid fun at one of Adelaide’s new indoor activity centres – try Bounce Inc, Latitude or Inflatable World (YES, that is a thing now!).

Drink like a pro ::

Want to take your appreciation for alcoholic beverages to the next level? What about a Gin master class? The Howling Owl hosts a master class where you can make your own Gin. Yes please! The Flying Trunk is also an awesome little watering hole on the corner of King William Road and Union Street, and they do a mean cocktail mixing class! Hello Mojitos!

Enjoy ladies xx

PS If you’re having a Hens party, make sure you make it EXTRA AMAZEBALLS. Have a read of this to find out how.
