On Friday night the 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards were held in Sydney, and we are thrilled that seven outstanding tourism operators from South Australia were recognised with awards, cementing their positions as some of the nation’s top businesses. 

Adelaide Zoo, one of South Australia’s most iconic attractions, was awarded the highly sought-after gold in the Major Tourism Attraction category. The recognition was bestowed upon the zoo for its exceptional behind-the-scenes experiences and its unwavering commitment to sustainability and conservation.

Representing the Adelaide Hills region, The Cedars Hahndorf was awarded Silver in the Cultural Tourism category, and Woodhouse Activity Centre took home Silver in the Unique Accommodation category.

Bronze awards were bestowed upon Bendleby Ranges in the Adventure Tourism category, Sequoia Lodge in the New Tourism Business category, Redwing Farm for Hosted Accommodation and Eos by SkyCity for 5 Star Luxury Accommodation.

The Australian Tourism Awards honour innovation and outstanding standards in tourism across the country. The field of finalists are the best in the biz across Australia and the competition is fierce, so to see our SA operators take out these awards is very special and well deserved recognition of their hard work.
