This season is all about dressing how you want to dress and embracing your inner style revolution. Sure, the 70s are in (in a BIG WAY) but it doesn’t mean you have to convert your entire wardrobe to yellow and brown bell-bottoms. You CAN however, pick and chose bits and pieces of the trend to suit your personal style. I LOVE brown and yellow. Who would have thought that my least favourite colour (brown), would creep its dirty way into my wardrobe this season. As long as it’s matched with its best friend (yellow), it’s ALL good.

Our Fashion Queen Lauren Dilena, Stylist at Westfield Tea Tree Plaza, jazzed me up… because today I am going on a date with the boyfriend. (He’s actually my husband but I thought I’d spice things up by calling him my boyfriend.)

Trend: Clashing Minimal Prints

Top :: Bardot, cropped striped halter top, multi $79.95

Skirt :: Bardot, midi pencil skirt, white $89.95

Clutch :: Sportsgirl, geo print, black $39.95

Shoes :: Forever New, strapped heels, black $59.95

LAUREN’S TIP: The statement midi pencil skirt is a must have for your S/S 2015 wardrobe. Great dressed up or casual and also can be fantastic for most bodyshapes. However, you’ll just have to make sure you know your dimensions on where you want the eye levels to land on your shape. It’s all about creating illusions and distractions and maximising your best assets.
