Ingredients

200g dark chocolate, chopped

250g butter, chopped

340g brown sugar

4 eggs

40g cocoa powder, sifted

180g plain gluten free flour, sifted

¼ teaspoon gluten free baking powder

Chocolate chips, enough to sprinkle over as a topping

Method

Preheat oven to 160°C. Line a 20cm square slice tin with non-stick baking paper or grease well.

Place the chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat and stir until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

Place the eggs, sugar, flour, cocoa and baking powder in a bowl. Add the chocolate mixture and mix until combined.

Pour into the pre-lined tin. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top of the mixture.

Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until an inserted skewer withdraws clean. Allow to cool slightly in the tin before slicing.

Serve warm or cold.
